    Hi there!
I would like your e-mail address to send you an article that we are working on at YouthToday.org in relation to autism. I’d like to hear your side of it, it will be finished on Monday.

    Thanks,
    Aajay

my son Zachariah has aspergers and his mother and i have been in a lengthy custody battle, she continually refuses visits and ignores court orders of visitation…lets get one thing very clear at this point…I BELIEVE SHE IS PROVIDING ZACHARIAH A GOOD AND SAFE HOME….however i believe her untreated childhood trauma is clouding her judgement and perception…i am a good man, 11 years sober with a counselling degree and working in the addictions recovery feild.I am hoping you can point me towards any advocacy programs for my son and any studies published on the subject of parental alienation and the damage created in doing so….

James i am sorry you are going through such tough times. Aspies need routine and change is hard for them so I can imagine how difficult this has to be for Zachariah as well. I think you should research some of the resources on the autism Speaks website. They can help point you in the right directions. Contact your local chapter and they may be able top help you find some local groups in your area. Hope this helps.
