Into the Woods and then (thank you GOD) OUT AGAIN!!!

We Survived! Yup we made it back Chigger and Tick free thank God! Although Gracie did break out in a rash. And even though I packed everything, I somehow forgot all her medicines. I left them sitting neatly in a bag on the counter of my kitchen. Thank goodness we had a great First aid kit that had Allergy stuff in it. Grace was groggy but at least we could stay on.

So I have been trying to figure out how to explain our trip to you. It was not bad… but I can’t say that I enjoyed it either. Camping is too much work. If I am going to cook and clean I would much rather do it at home where I can sleep in my own bed afterwards and not have to smell like insect repellant. Mother Nature did cooperate… it only rained for a short while. Long enough that we couldn’t do our big camp fire at night which I was looking forward too… but we did get to take a night walk at least.

Besides the rash… Grace had a good time. I put together this short little clip… which is  just of Grace because I didn’t want to show all the other girls without permission. As you will see she did enjoy herself. However as soon as we got home she said to me, “Mommy I think we should go for mani & pedis this week so we can feel human again!” Oh she is so my daughter!
